Foods from Quran and hadith that may help with Coronovirus

Recently there has been a finding and claim of some doctors that certain foods can help in the treating of Coronovirus.  What we have learned is the importance of keeping the immune system strong at such a time. These foods were mainly Chocolate (particularly the dark type), grapes and green tea.  Apparently they are anti viral. I then started to think, from what I know of the Quran and the foods and beverages recommended by Islamic and there are a few that may help with such viruses and illnesses, although they have not been scientifically verified. 1) Honey.   The Quran mentions honey in the Quran and describes it as a cure and remedy.   Honey is know to strengthen the immune system and is very useful for throat infections and colds and flu. It may help a person in their battle with viruses, infections and so forth because it strengthens the body.   The fact that it is a source of fat that a person needs when suffering from any lung relate...

ISIS: a non Islamic State

It is unfortunate that ISIS is often seen as an outshoot of Islam or as Islam by some. Merely trying to link atrocities to the Quran or sayings of the Prophet peace be upon him does not make something Islam. There are many people use try to twist the sayings and example of people out of context for their own benefit and actions. It seems that only president Obama has been wise enough to recognise ISIS as non Islamic. Many Muslims feel insulted having such groups and terrorist people attributed to them and the religion of Islam. Islam is against the killing of innocent people and of oppression of both Muslims and non Muslims. Muslims have a mission of telling people and calling people to Islam, which involved trying to teach people and persuade them about the faith. If people accept they are considered brotgers and if not they are left to live their lives according to the beliefs and religion that they choose. The Quran tells us  there is no compulsion in religion, the right w...

Suicide bombing is not from Islam and contradicts the teachings

Why suicide bombing is not Islamic Recently we heard about a suicide bomber in Kabul who killed many innocent people. Previously we heard about suicide bombings in Palestine and other places. For these reasons it is rather sad, not only to hear of innocent people being killed or maimed, but also that Islam is being blamed for such killings. Islam is a religion that teaches people to have dialogue and to solve issues through other means before resorting to fighting. When Islam first came about blood shed was greatly reduced and the killing of innocent people was forbidden. It is so unfortunate that we hear many instances of deaths and atrocities caused by so-called suicide bombings. What is more unfortunate is when these bombings are carried out by Muslims. We are then told that  this is "Islamic terrorism." However, Islam does not have or support terrorism. Suicide bombing itself is something new and has no basis in Islam. It was actually from the Sumarai Japanese who felt t...

Who are the Taliban? Are they proper Muslims?

We have heard news about the Taliban in Afghanistan and the problems that they seem to be involved in. So who are these guys?   So far the Taliban has been accused of human rights issues.  Some of these are: - killing women who do not wear the burqa (the garment that women wear in Afghanistan and other places that covers everything, including the face and eyes) - killing people who have been involved with America and others who they feel have done something wrong The problem is that although the word Taliban, actually means "students of knowledge," which should indicate that they carry put atrocities based on some true knowledge and information this is very misleading. In reality the behaviours that are attributed by the so-called Taliban to Shariah (Islamic law) are not from the true Shariah.  They seem not to have understood  the true Shariah, if they have indeed studied it. Actually there does appear to be general ignorance in Afghanistan and many things are ...
